WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN A PHYSIOTHERAPY VISIT?
At your first visit, a full physical assessment involving history taking and clinical tests will be performed to identify the main sources for your concerns. Your findings and individualized treatment plan will be discussed, and treatment will begin as appropriate.

In your subsequent visits, various treatment strategies including manual therapy, modalities, exercise prescription, acupuncture, dry needling, and/or Gunn IMS will be utilized based on your pre-determined plan and goals. Reassessments will be performed regularly as needed to ensure that your treatments are effective.

All appointments are one-on-one with your physiotherapist.
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENTS?
Please dress appropriately for your appointments (e.g. tank top, shorts) so your area(s) of concern could be accessible. . Please also bring in any relevant medical information with you (e.g. doctor’s note, list of medication, imaging or other medical reports).
DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL TO SEE A PHYSIOTHERAPIST?
Physiotherapists are primary care providers, which means you do not need a doctor’s referral to come to physiotherapy. However, if you have extended health benefits for physiotherapy, please check with your insurance provider if they require you to have a doctor’s note for your physiotherapy coverage.
